| How long have you
been improvising, and where? |
I started in high school, but that really wasn’t anything to speak of. I started seriously (ha) improvising with ComedySportz in 2001, took a break to go be a Pro Wrestler and other stuff in Ohio, and I returned just at the end of 2002 and been doing it ever since. |
| What is your
educational background? |
I’m one of those Jack of all Trades, master of none type people. I graduated (or should I say survived) Rogers High back in 1998. I attended EWU for a quarter, and absolutely hated it… so I’ve just been educating myself in the school of life ever since. |
| What is your
theatrical background? |
Again, no formal education, I just do it, and am apparently good at it. I’ve appeared in several productions both here in Spokane, and in Ohio and elsewhere. Notably in Ohio playing a Gangster in Kiss Me Kate, then Ernie in Rumours, then Mr Bumble in Oliver back-to-back-to-back.
My most notable theatrical experience occurred in June of 2006 when the play I wrote (Sonnet 23) was produced at Spokane Civic Theatre. I can't think of anything that can top that. |
| What is your career
goal, or if you are where you want to be, what are you doing now? |
I would love to work as a writer and an actor. I’m kind of doing it at the moment, but I’d like for it to be my primary income… it’ll happen I just need to keep working at it.
|
| Why do you improvise?
|
I improvise because it’s fun, and apparently I’m good at it. I’m still transfixed by Whose Line, and I get to think to myself “Wow, I do that too”… and it’s a rush. |
Where are you from? |
I was born in Silverton, ID… but I’ve spent most of my life right here in Spokane. I know poor me… tee hee. |
| What are your
hobbies, what do you spend your time doing outside of work and the Blue Door? |
I love movies, some would say I have a little dvd addiction. Even though it’s also a career pursuit I still consider acting and writing as hobbies, and I love food. |
