| How long have you
been volunteering: |
I first started when the Blue Door was downtown
in 2001. |
| Why did you get
involved with the Blue Door Theatre?: |
The Blue Door Theatre was in need of some prop
boxes for their scenes. At the time I was helping on a set at the Civic Theatre. The
technical director at the Civic didn't mind if I whipped up some boxes during my free time
since the Blue Door was nonprofit and supplied the materials. |
| Why do you stay?: |
The people at the Blue Door are awesome! I have
never met so many talented people with such big hearts! |
| Education: |
Still working on a BA with a minor in physics at
EWU, numerous education seminarsAA from Spokane Community College, Certificate in Japanese
culture from Mukogawa Women's University in Nishinomiya Japan |
| Theatre Experience: |
Spokane Civic Theatre (25+ years set
construction/stagecrew/concessions, 11 years Halloween costume rentals), Spokane
Children's Theatre (18 years set construction/lighting), stagecrew /playwriting /art
classes at EWU, stagecrew/acting/playwriting/art classes at SCC, various seminars on
stagecrew and acting throughout Washington state, acting and stagecrew classes at North
Central High School |

Spokane Washington with my summers spent in the
farmlands of Effingham Illinois learning to appreciate why "humidity, funny colored
drinking water, and 3 foot insects in the Midwest" makes Spokane a great place to
live. |
| Hobbies: |
Shorinji Kempo, Kendo, working out at the gym,
drawing, watercolor painting, bead work, cooking, stagecrew. |
